You do a good job of naming several. The agency IS given too much power, thats the main problem IMO.Subvethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13523683273450353313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36003957.post-34634608972735203872011-09-06T18:44:04.778-05:002011-09-06T18:44:04.778-05:00Anthony, I've had my own dealings with Connect...Anthony, I've had my own dealings with Connecticut's version of CPS. It was "enlightening" to say the least. Despite that I've come to the conclusion that they DO serve a valid purpose. My experiences were made all the more interesting by having to deal with a woman who seemed to hate all men. Maybe it was because no one would pay attention to her (she WAS homely!) I dunno. But the agency has a use, as this story demonstrates.Subvethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13523683273450353313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36003957.post-40255278712105063062011-09-06T10:45:11.742-05:002011-09-06T10:45:11.742-05:00Subvet, I know children have to be protected from ...Subvet, I know children have to be protected from abusive parents, but I'm against the CPS agsncies as they are now set up. The people who run these things are usually anti-Christian and anti-Catholic liberals. Many of them are queer or queer lovers. Many of the children they 'save' are are placed in foster homes where instead of being protected and nurtured, they are subjected to further abuse. And with many states recognizing civil unions, the sodomites are now being allowed to adopt children. IMHO, the CPS agencies ought be be defunded because they do more harm than good. Cops should be allowed to remove children from absive homes, but the children should be turned over to relatives that can be trusted, or to a private, non state funded agency that will take care of the kids until a good situlation can be found for the kids.Steve "scotju" Daltonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17864544146213840928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36003957.post-69565096862411715412011-09-05T23:34:46.689-05:002011-09-05T23:34:46.689-05:00This story hits very close to where I live. And every time he calls, the CPS have to schlep on out to my brother's house, even though they know they'll find when they get there that the charges are b.s. and even though they've documented Numbnuts as a potential threat to the kids. They'd like to tell Numbnuts to go stuff himself, but they can't.

It's people like in your story that show why CPS exists. It's people like Numbnuts who abuse the system and give it a good chunk of its bad rep.Anthony S. Laynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14807873592896092136noreply@blogger.com
