Though the Taj Mahony is much smaller than his ego...We need a wrecking ball for that building.Joe of St. Thérèsehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06506671882770822003noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36003957.post-28560978294543855402009-06-26T12:46:41.384-05:002009-06-26T12:46:41.384-05:00"Liturgical Purgatory", I'll just be..."Liturgical Purgatory", I'll just bet.

Several years ago before returning to the Church I was reading about the completion of Taj Mahoney. I remember remarking to the wife that his diocese must really suffer because of his ego.

You REALLY have my sympathy!Subvethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13523683273450353313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36003957.post-69778311078463135952009-06-26T00:11:31.733-05:002009-06-26T00:11:31.733-05:00Exactly, Both forms are approved, and the Holy Fat...Exactly, Both forms are approved, and the Holy Father wants both the OF and the EF to enrich each other.

I can only report on what happens in LA, because that's where I live, haha. I know several places that do celebrate the OF the way it should be, and we need to pray that the OF is celebrated with the mind of the Church instead of all these abuses that we see in many places.

Fortunately the places where I usually go for Mass in the OF, things are done by the books and very reverently.

Both sides really need to get a grip on the situation and think with the mind of the Church, and I do not exclude myself from this, my frustration comes mostly from where I am, Liturgical Purgatory, There are so few places that do Mass by the rubrics here in LA, it's not funny at all. Abuses from the NO any of us have the right to condemn and in charity we should correct them, but to condemn the Mass itself would be wrong. Juridically both are equal.Joe of St. Thérèsehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06506671882770822003noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36003957.post-50940507100845238272009-06-25T20:34:01.381-05:002009-06-25T20:34:01.381-05:00Joe, amen to that but how is this accomplished by ...Joe, amen to that but how is this accomplished by the constant sniping from one camp to the other. And BOTH forms of the Mass are approved by the Vatican!

Living where you do I can understand your frustration with the abuses taking place, that isn't the case everywhere.Subvethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13523683273450353313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36003957.post-13938343886203702572009-06-25T16:37:54.876-05:002009-06-25T16:37:54.876-05:00The key to saving our culture is saving our Liturg...The key to saving our culture is saving our Liturgy.Joe of St. Thérèsehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06506671882770822003noreply@blogger.com
