A Catholic who follows Rome & the Magisterium. I'm against gay "marriage", abortion, embryonic stem cell research, euthanasia, human cloning. Altar girls, Communion in the hand, Eucharistic Ministers and "Protestant" music in the Church doesn't bother me at all. A proud American retired submarine sailor. Our borders should be secured with a 10 ft. high fence topped by concertina wire with minefields out to 20 yards on both sides and an additional 10 yards filled with warning signs outside of that Let's get energy independent NOW! Back Israel to the max, stop appeasing followers of the Pedophile Prophet. Pro 2nd Amendment, pro death penalty, Repeal all hate crime legislation. Back the police unless you'd rather call a hippie when everything hits the fan. Get government out of dealing with education, childhood obesity and the enviornment. Stop using the military for sociological experiments and if we're in a war don't micromanage their every move. Kill your television, limit time on the computer and pick up a book. God's will be done and may He have mercy upon us all.

Supporting gay rights with our tax dollars.

So our government is now more concerned with people who identify themselves by sexual preference than by merit or achievement? Well I guess that shouldn't be surprising, our Chief Executive received a Nobel Prize not for anything he did but for his "potential".

My remarks are interspersed in bold italics throughout this article as well as in a follow on commentary at the end. WARNING: Some vulgar language is used in my comments.

(CNSNews.com) – Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius spoke at the first “Federal LGBT Youth Summit” on Monday after being introduced by a homosexual on her staff, who said the secretary “gets us” and is “tireless” in her support of lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender youth.

“Your federal government has finally come out of the closet in support of LGBT youth,” said Pam Hyde, HHS administrator for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services. (Meaning the taxpayer funding for special programs will shortly follow. All complaints to be noted for future action by gay thugs informed by sources within the Administration.)

“It’s great to see so many young faces out there, all gay and proud,” Hyde said.

Sebelius congratulated the teens and 20-somethings for attending the summit and said the goal of the summit was to “really tackle the issues facing the LGBT youth in our country.”

The LGBT Youth Summit was sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education and is being held at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington, D.C. on June 6 and 7. (Yeah, our tax dollars at work.)

“Since President Obama took office in January 2009 he has led a commitment, shared by all those in his administration, to make sure that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans have a chance to reach their full potential,” Sebelius said. (Translation: He knows that by pandering to the gay population, their supporters and PC minded "independents" he'll have a sizable support base for the election in 2012.)

Sebelius said LGBT people have a “strong voice” and that the Obama administration hears it.

“I want to tell you, you have a friend in this administration, who will stand beside you each and every step along the way,” Sebelius said.

Sebelius also said LGBT youth are more likely to experience depression, thoughts of suicide, have other emotional problems or abuse drugs or alcohol.

“We know these behaviors are not the result of who these young people are,” Sebelius said. “They are the result of what’s happening to them.” (Cue the violins, here comes the "victimized" theme.)

Sebelius went on to say a federal interagency taskforce is partnering the Departments of Health and Human Services, Education, Agriculture, Defense, Interior and Justice to come up with strategies and programs to fight bullying. (Just how far in debt are we? I guess the difference can be made up by cutting Defense Department programs and border security initiatives.)

Sebelius also said the health care law signed into law by the Obama administration will encourage health care providers to address the “unique needs” of LGBT patients and will make health care workers “culturally competent” to deal with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender patients.("Culturally competent" is Newspeak for "voluntarily brainwashed".)

She also said the HHS is working with the federal child welfare system to “place LGBT children in loving homes.” (Oh boy! This is where kids can rat out their unsympathetic parents who don't want "Junior" in a dress or "Sally" going to the prom with her girlfriend. The parents will lose custody until they're satisfactorily reeducated.)

She concluded her remarks by saying she wanted to speak directly to the young people in attendance, many of whom sat at tables with adults, including moderator Kevin Jennings, a gay activist and Obama official in the Department of Education who is leaving his post at the end of the week to take a job with a non-profit group. (Wonder what the main thrust of that "non-profit" group will be? Maybe workshops on "Fistfucking For Tweens in The 21st Century? Will they be federally funded just as other "non-profit" entities like Planned Parenthood are?)

“Keep up your amazing work and know you have strong partners here in D.C.,” Sebelius said.

The two-day summit includes a wide range of “break-out” sessions that were not open to the media, despite the summit being sponsored by the Department of Education. A program for the summit listed the sessions, which included other federal officials and staff from the HHS, the Department of Education, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. ("Not open to the media", is that Newspeak for "too controversial even for us to own up to"?)

Topics for the breakout sessions ranged from bullying to “programs creating safe environments and reducing risk behaviors.”

A large number of gay advocate groups are also involved in the summit, including the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network – which was founded by Jennings.

Other participants include the National Coalition for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Health, the Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League, the National Education Association, Advocates for Youth, American Federation of Teachers and the Human Rights Campaign.

The summit packet distributed at the event included photos by Rachelle Lee Smith, a gay activist who also displayed her poster/photos at the invitation of Jennings, Smith told CNSNews.com.

The posters feature homosexual young people with messages about their sexual behavior.

In one of Smith’s photographs, a person named “Michael” says: “So what do you think? Ever been black before? Ever been gay? Ever been both? Try it!” (Try not playing the victim card sonny, you'll find it curiously refreshing.)

A photograph of “Max” says: “In high school I dated boys. I was a straight girl. After starting college, I identified as a card-carrying dyke. Soon I realized that what I was feeling wasn’t about sexual orientation, it was about gender. I came out as a guy the summer of ’99. Now I live my life as a gay man – a punk rock queer boy who happens to also be in love with a girl. Who knows? Maybe next year I’ll grow a tail.” (I've no doubt that's entirely possible and viewed as completely acceptable by both you and your peers. You have no idea how truly pathetic you are.)

Secretary of Education Arne Duncan is scheduled to speak at the event, organized by his agency, on Tuesday

End of story, my comments follow.

I actually have no grief with someone who wants to chase after someone of the same sex. I've enough sins of my own to cope with that the goings on in someone else's bedroom has no attraction for me.

But the reason I view articles like this with alarm is the high degree of official government involvement displayed. On topics like this when the Feds get involved they won't be able to ride the fence, speaking warm fuzzy words of eternal friendship to gays on Monday and on Tuesday giving complete and total acceptance to those religious groups (like the Catholic Church) who view homosexuality as disordered, sinful behavior. There quickly comes a time when one side or the other is endorsed after the government gets involved. Guess which one is getting the pats on the back?

I'll also note that regarding Catholicism, Sibelius identifies herself as such. Quislings such as she will provide cover for those wishing to persecute the Church for it's stand. They enable the future persecutors to say, "Looky here, devout Catholics don't necessarily follow the bigoted teaching coming out of Rome. We merely target those "haters" who use their religion to justify oppression."

Get ready folks. The shit will hit the fan and it won't matter die-diddle-squat who is in the Oval Office. It's all about votes and ours don't count for much.

"Max" is indeed pathetic if he/she/it can't see the irony that he/she/it is screwing boys again.

Homofascism supported by our tax dollars. All so some heretical politicians can get the fag vote.

It was just announced last night on my local news station that my state, New York, WILL legalize same sex marriages by next year the latest, which means that we will officially join the Sodom and Gomorrah fan club.

If we could ever get our country back from the socialist perverts, I would like to see ALL gay rights legislation repealed and same sex marriages outlawed by a Constitutional Amendment. They can do what they like in the privacy of their homes, but they cannot bring it into the public venue.

The gays are corrupting the minds, spirits and morals of our children and grandchildren in our public school system, and that should be stopped immediately.
